Brecksville Launches “Hometown Heroes” Banner Program to Honor Local Veterans

The Brecksville American Legion Post 196, in partnership with the City of Brecksville, has launched a new Hometown Heroes Banner Program to honor local military service members. The program features double-sided color banners (24″x72″) displaying the name, branch of service, and photo of veterans with ties to Brecksville and/or Post 196. The banners will be displayed along Royalton Road and Chippewa Road from May through Veterans Day for a two-year cycle.

Applications are available at www.al196.com. The program costs $150 per banner, with checks payable to Brecksville American Legion Post 196. High-quality military uniform photos are required, and applications can be submitted via email to htheroes196@gmail.com or dropped off at the Post (7400 Chippewa Rd, Brecksville, OH 44141) daily between 1:00 PM and 8:00 PM.

For questions or more information, contact the program coordinator at 216-759-1743 or htheroes196@gmail.com. Priority will be given to current Post members who are Brecksville residents.
