Brecksville-Broadview Heights Wrestling Team Achieves National Acclaim

The Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School wrestling team has reached new heights, winning its fifth consecutive Suburban League National Division title and earning a #4 ranking in Ohio and #24 nationally. The team has produced numerous state champions and currently boasts 17 alumni wrestling at the college level, including several in the Big Ten.

Head Coach Todd Haverdill credits the program’s success to a strong coaching staff, dedicated athletes, and a supportive community. The team’s reputation has attracted college scouts and generated pride throughout Brecksville and Broadview Heights.

The wrestling program emphasizes not only athletic excellence but also academic achievement and character development. Many team members maintain high GPAs and are involved in extracurricular activities. The program’s culture of brotherhood and mentorship extends to alumni, who often return to support current wrestlers.
