AC Marriott Hotel at Valor Acres Secures $92 Million in Financing

In mid-June 2025, the Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority gave final approval to a substantial financing package that will enable construction of a new AC Marriott hotel at Valor Acres in Brecksville. The Port approved the issuance of up to $92 million in lease revenue bonds, with $32 million dedicated specifically to the 136-room hotel project. This marks a significant milestone for Valor Acres, positioning it as a major new mixed-use district in Northeast Ohio.

The AC Marriott, a partnership among DiGeronimo Companies, Crawford Hoying, and Shaner Hotel Group, is slated to become a centerpiece of the Valor Acres development. The planned six-story hotel will feature amenities such as a rooftop bar, event spaces, and a focus on both business and leisure travelers, given its proximity to the new Sherwin-Williams Morikis Global Technology Center and DiGeronimo Companies’ new headquarters.

Construction is expected to begin later this year, with an opening targeted for the first part of 2027. The approval of financing not only underscores confidence in Brecksville’s growing hospitality market but also signals continued investment in the region’s broader business ecosystem. Local officials and developers alike have called the project a transformative win, forecasting that Valor Acres will drive more dining, job growth, and regional activity for years to come.
